Assumption
I think that the writer assumes that students nowadays are more and more concerned about their outer appearances, wanting to look good rather than focus on inner beauty and strength, such as integrity and honesty. Thus the article focused on Plastic Surgery, where more and more people, especially youths, are trying to change their appearances.
Questions at Issue
I think that the main issue of the article is that going through plastic surgery is becoming more and more of a trend, where teenagers now are emphasising on looks, which shows badly of students nowadays. This also shows that they do not think that that moral values, such as integrity, are very important as they place their looks higher than inner beauty.
Evidence/ Data
The writer interviewed people who had undergone plastic surgery and are satisfied with the outcome, and did not state those surgeries that were unsuccessful, showing only the positive side of plastic surgery. The article also told me that the writer is trying to show that plastic surgery is becoming a trend, however is not promoting plastic surgery.
POV
The article is showing the opinions of patients through their interviews. They only showed the positive side of plastic surgery, which is telling me that the writer is being positive of having plastic surgery, and that surgery will also boost the clients' confidence and morale. It also showed that many youths, before undergoing surgery, were scared that their friends would give negative comments, however they realise that their friends actually approve of them
